How to remove plaque in under 5 minutes

You’ve probably heard your dentist talk about plaque. It’s the film of bacteria that sticks to your teeth, explains WebMD. The plaque is colorless and dangerous. It causes the degradation of tooth enamel and eventually causes cavities. Plaque can also destroy the bone that supports the teeth and the roots of the teeth under the gums.

To prevent plaque buildup, it is important to brush and floss twice a day. For greater protection, use mouthwashes that you can prepare yourself:

1. Antiseptic mouthwash. This mouthwash from Sustainable Frugally is so delicious, you’ll be tempted to drink a huge amount. In a large bowl, pour 4 ounces (120 ml) of peppermint aqueous solution (purchase at health food stores or learn how to make it from Mama Rosemary), 1 teaspoon (5 ml) of thyme extract, and 2 teaspoons (10 ml) of …Myrrh gum extract. And 5 to 10 drops of aromatic mint extract. To use, shake well and shake for 30 seconds before spitting.

2. Mouthwash with essential oil. In a glass bottle, mix 1 cup distilled water, 1 teaspoon sea salt, 1 teaspoon calcium magnesium powder, 4 drops peppermint essential oil, 2 drops spearmint essential oil, 2 drops essential oil of cinnamon and 2 drops of clove essential oil. Swish and gargle, as recommended by Organic Lifestyle magazine, to restore oral hygiene.

3. Antibacterial mouthwash. Going Very Green recommends this homemade mouthwash because it is detoxifying, antibacterial, and effective in reducing plaque and gum disease. Mix 2 teaspoons of baking soda, 2 drops of peppermint essential oil, 2 drops of tea tree oil, 2 drops of thyme essential oil, and 1 teaspoon of neem oil in half a cup of warm water. If you really need it, add a teaspoon of honey to sweeten the flavor. Shake before swishing and spitting.
